I checked my Email today to notice more than one "Where the hell have you been?" message in my box. Oddly, mere days after complaining that I can't beat $1/$2 to save my life, it's not only become my regular game, but I'm beating it about as hard as I was beating 50¢/$1. 2900 hands in at PokerStars, I'm beating $1/$2 for over 4 BB/c. I've been asked several times why I haven't been posting lately.  Since I do have news, I've also been asked why I haven't blogged about specific events.

Upon reflection, the reason I haven't been posting is that the asshole factor in my comments is quite high. I went up to Little River in Manistee yesterday (Tuesday) partially for their tournament, but more for the post-tournament cash games.  I finished the day $18 to the good, which counts as a positive result as much as a day $18 to the bad counts as a negative result, and my "streak" had several of those results.

There are some hard words in response to my last post, all telling me, basically, slow down there: you might have run yourself up to $250, but it's still only $250, you aren't "back" by any means, get a job, manage the bankroll well.

I spent the weekend in Manistee, playing poker, of course.  Saturday night was brilliant, one of the softest live games I've ever been in, with a couple of action players and a couple of calling stations.  I took that game for $500, and stayed in town to play Sunday again.

That's Mel Brooks as Moses.  You know, from "History of the World, Part I;" the bit where he presents the Fifteen—Oy!—the Ten Commandments, as they became known after Moses dropped the third tablet.  It all makes sense, really it does, because it's sort of about the law, while retaining the "joker" theme of the image at the beginning of my posts.
